DEREX, at the forefront of innovation in energy solutions, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Conexus Baltic Grid (Conexus), the unified operator of natural gas transportation and storage. This collaboration marks a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future, as we embark on a pioneering solar venture.
Through a competitive procurement process, Conexus has entrusted DEREX with a visionary project— the establishment of a solar panel park within the premises of the Inčukalns underground gas storage facility. This undertaking encompasses not only the construction itself but also the comprehensive supply of equipment.
With a projected completion expected by the upcoming spring, this endeavor signifies a substantial investment of 989,000 euros. The project involves the installation of solar panels across an extensive area spanning over 16,000 square meters. These panels will generate a capacity of up to 1 megawatt.
Through the integration of solar energy, our efforts are expected to yield approximately one million kilowatt-hours per year. This substantial energy production will correspond to 25% of the total electricity consumption within the Inčukalns storage facility.
