The BIOR State Scientific Institute is engaged in a significant renewable energy initiative aimed at ensuring a sustainable power supply for its various facilities. This initiative encompasses four distinct solar energy projects located in Brasla, Kārļi, Pelči, and Tome.
In Brasla, a solar energy project is underway to provide sustainable energy for the facility. This project involves installing a ground-mounted solar station with a capacity of 36 kW. The station utilizes 95 JINKO JKM380N-6TL3 solar panels, each generating 380W. These panels are configured into five strings and connected to a 50 kW SMA SUNNY TRIPOWER CORE1 STP 50-40 inverter.
Similarly, in Kārļi, another solar energy project aims to enhance the facility’s energy sustainability. This installation also features a 36 kW ground-mounted solar station, equipped with 95 JINKO JKM380N-6TL3 panels. These panels, producing 380W each, are arranged into five strings and connected to a 50 kW SMA SUNNY TRIPOWER CORE1 STP 50-40 inverter, working in parallel with the AS “Sadales tīkls” grid.
In Pelči, the project focuses on providing renewable energy through a 25 kW ground-mounted solar station. This setup includes 65 JINKO JKM380N-6TL3 panels, each with a power output of 380W. These panels are organized into four strings and linked to a 25 kW SMA SUNNY TRIPOWER 25000TL inverter.
The largest of these projects is in Tome, where a 201 kW solar station is being constructed. This installation consists of 530 solar panels, divided into two sections: the right side has 240 panels across 12 strings, and the left side has 290 panels across 13 strings. Both sections are connected to 100 kW SMA SUNNY HIGHPOWER PEAK3 100-20 inverters.
These combined efforts highlight the BIOR State Scientific Institute’s commitment to enhancing energy sustainability across its facilities through the integration of advanced solar energy systems.
